WELCOME TO KUKUI
We are Esther & Minaya. Originally from sunny Spain, we both live and breathe seaside life. Throughout our travels and the many locations we've lived in (Bali, Rome, Japan, Uruguay, Portugal, etc,) we've found out that sun, sea, bare feet, nature & movement is a magic potion for a happier life. Now we want to share this potion with you by creating trips and retreats that provide a safe and serene space for people to reconnect with themselves, to enjoy being outside in contact with nature, and to create lifelong memories with free souls alike.
Nice to meet you! I am Esther a Spaniard who used to live in Madrid where I worked as a journalist. One day I decided to cheat my city life, grabbed a backpack and flew to Bali to follow my dreams.
While being in the island I changed my way of living seeing the world as I went deeper in the practice of yoga and meditation. It made me appreciate the simplicity of things, because, yeah! life is simpler than what we think and actually we need less to be happy.
I spent years moving from one continent to another, learning about the planet and about life while meeting thousands of inspiring souls. Travelling made me grow respecting the earth and appreciating the power of mother nature. And that´s how I fell in love with surfing! a passion that allows me to connect with the nature while paddeling out in the ocean and to smile while riding a wave!
My other passion, yoga, called me to go on an Indian adventure where I became a Certified Yoga Teacher. After several years, the practice of yoga has taught me to listen to my body and mind, and I learnt that is not about perfection but about feeling alive, loved and free and that´s what I want to share in my lessons.
Hi there! This is me, a curious, Mediterranean lady who loves staying active both physically and mentally, and thrives in contact with nature, pink sunsets, bare feet, and silly human beings.
I've always had a genuine interest in self growth and in finding true joy and purpose in what we do for a living. I spent my twenties traveling around the globe, learning about other cultures and about myself, investigating on what is it that I want to contribute with to this world.
In this journey, I found Yoga in India. To be more precise, Yoga found me. And I crushed hard with it. Real hard. The benefits I experienced were so vast, that I couldn't but choose to become a certified Yoga teacher to share my discovery with others, hoping they would find the same joy and peace it brought to me.
I'm all for feeling AAAALL the feels in my classes, tuning into your body, and letting it guide you through what it needs from the inside out, regardless of how a pose might look like from the outside.
